- 3 dashes bitters
- 1 strip orange peel
- 1 sprig rosemary

- Mix the cocktail: In a mixing glass or large mason jar, combine the whiskey, cocktail syrup, and bitters with ice. Stir for 30 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
- Prepare the glass: Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish and finish:
- Use a vegetable peeler to remove a strip of orange peel.
- Express the oils over the glass by gently squeezing the peel, then wipe the rim with it.
- Drop the peel into the drink and garnish with a rosemary sprig and cherry.
